Hi! I’m Jay and I’m a photographer! I absolutely love capturing memories and telling stories through pictures, it’s one of my favourite things to do. That, and eating bacon and Boursin sandwiches while drinking green tea.
I blame my addiction to weddings for becoming a wedding photographer; I’ve been involved in weddings as an artist for 15 years and this was such a natural progression. I LOVE weddings, to the point where I dreamed about them when starting wedding photography. Addicted. Yes. As for photographing Little People, I’ve got 2 little kiddos (well not so little, they were like, 11lbs at birth. Seriously.), and they’ve really helped me develop a love of photographing newborns and toddlers.
In my spare time I love to whizz down to the coast, thoroughly enjoying being by the sea for moody, scenic shoots, as well as light art. It looks a bit crazy, running around in the dark waving coloured torches, but it’s a LOT of fun. Weddings, newborn babies and children are my specialty, though I’ll try my hand at anything new if you’ve got an exciting idea.
Every so often I do get approached for something different; I have had my work used in advertising with major supermarket brands, children’s product brands, online parenting magazines and baby product companies, so I’ll often do corporate events around the UK. Exciting!
I love experimenting and try something new, making the most of whatever is available to me at the time. It’s also important to have a fresh approach to the business; I always listen and take on any ideas you might have.
